These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ClearRead mobile application ("App") operated by ClearRead ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
Use of the App
ClearRead is a reading and text-to-speech application designed to make written content more accessible. You may use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.
Accounts
You may create an account using Sign in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
Subscriptions & Payments
- ClearRead offers premium features through auto-renewing subscriptions, available in monthly and annual billing periods.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your device's subscription settings (Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions on iOS, or Google Play Store > Subscriptions on Android).
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google in accordance with their respective refund policies.
Usage Limits
Premium text-to-speech features are subject to monthly character limits based on your subscription tier. Usage resets at the beginning of each billing cycle.
Content & Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of all documents you import into ClearRead. We do not claim any rights to your content. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to access and use any content you import.
Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Circumvent usage limits or subscription restrictions
- Use the App to infringe on intellectual property rights of others
Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
